Installing shareutils, specifically uudecode

I have Astaro 4.016 installed with pluspack in a test environment and need uudecode to install a package, has anyone gotten the install of shareutils to work which provides the uudecode package.

what is the problem you experience?
it should be a simple matter of ./configure && make && make install

Problem is the shareutils require the xgettext binary to compile, which in turn require c2h2-config and ghc binaries to compile.

Such is the difficult life of a developer...

You'll just have to keep copying over what you need, trial and error.
