ASL hang up after installing 4.0

Hi all,

On Version 3.216 my ASL works perfect.
Last evening i installed the new Version 4.0.
After a successfull installation, i rebooted
the system. During the boot process the ASL
stopped. The last message i've seen was something
like "76k memory freed".

Approximately one hour later i see a kernel dump   [:O]  
on the screen. It looks like a problem with the
EXT2 Filesystem and initrd.....

This morning, i installed the box a second time - with the same result.

Here my HW-Specifications:

Intel PII, 200MHz
128MB RAM
Fujitsu MPC3064AT Disk, 6GB
Matrox Millenium 2064W
Network Cards: 2x Accton SMC2-1211TX, 1x 3Com 3c905B

Any hints.....?
