I am using a Netgear MA-401 Wireless card combined with a Netgear MA-301 PCMCIA-PCI adapter. The hardware isn't correctly detected. I suspect the MA-301 as the wireless card is Prism based. I cannot verify the chipset of the PCi bridge, could someone eventually recommend a known to work PCMCIA-PCI adapter. TIA
the script should print the chipset and the parameters used. if there is no parameter given, try editing the file and add e.g. irq_mode=0 (or 1) to the appropriate line.. in case you succeed, please drop us a note, so we can include the correct parameter for this chipset... (we did not have the chance to get all available adapters...)

I found that the chipset of the MA-301 is a PLX 9052 which is widely supported under Linux. http://www.netsys.com/cgi-bin/display_article.cgi?1223 I tried adding "PLX Technologies PCI 9052" => "", to pcmcia-param.pl to no effect. Even setting irqmode to 0 or 1 didn't change a thing. When I execute the Perl script I still get: /etc/pcmcia/pcmcia-param.pl: Unknown chipset: 'not found. Intel PCIC probe: not found. Databook TCIC-2 probe: not'
o The PLX Technologies PCI9052 (also sold as the Linksys WDT11) is not a general purpose PCMCIA card reader at all: it is a PCI interface card for use with certain wireless adapters, that makes them look like ordinary PCI devices. These devices are not supported.
I bought two PLX-9052 based PCI to PCMCIA Cards for my Prism2 based cards as i read it's well supporeted by linux. I'm totally disappointed that i can't setup my Netgear MA311/MA401 combo with ASL 4 as an accesspoint.
There IS a driver for the PLX-9052. So please integrate it ASAP.
