here a little report about a test installation of ASL 3.380 Beta:
first of all let me say: I'm again impresset about ASL 3.380. grate improvements and a fast webadmin. (o.k. I did not test all of the new features, but it looks good.)
here some details:
Hardware:
Peacock Tiara Pentium3 500MHz,
Intel Chipset,
AWARD BIOS,
128MB RAM,
Quantum Fireball 10.2GB HD,
1st NIC 3C905C
2nd NIC 3C905B
3rd NIC HP????? (not use in the moment)
Report:
- the 3C905B NIC (eth0)is recognized right and is working properly.
- the 3C905C NIC (eth1) is shown as ([unknown vendor / unknown chipset] ) but is also working properly.
- the HP(????) NIC (eth2) is also shown as ([unknown vendor / unknown chipset] ), not configuret and not testet yet.
- I use Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2600.0000.xpclnt_qfe.010827-1803 with 128Bit encryption. I could not verify when it hapens, but often I get the following error while browsing in WebAdmin:

Fehler: ')' erwartet.
- When I create a new rule I have to wait a few minutes until they get applied. Perhabs my Hardware has not enough RAM?! But in reporting the RAM used is at average 116368 kB, CPU utillization is at average 20%.
All proxys are enabled, I have only applied 6 packet filter rules and no DNAT/SNAT rules.
