Had several problems installing 3.380 on a box with an ASUS P2B-DS board using dual P2 400's.
1. trying to install from a pioneer SCSI CD-ROM to an IBM 9.1GB SCSI disc (Both working fine for redhat and w2k).
I could boot on the CD but after it was finished loading initrd the system would hang efter "Ready." was printed.
2. trying to install from a pioneer SCSI CD-ROM to an IBM 18GB IDE disc.
This time I got into the setup screen but after the detecting hardware screen (after pressing OK to the detected hardware) the system would give me a "Installation Failure" screen. Only thing to do here was to reboot.
3. Install from an IDE CD-ROM to an IDE disc.
This worked perfectly. Had disabled the SCSI bios so I don't know if this setup would have worked if I still had it on.
