I have installed the latest Beta version all running perfectly for a couple of weeks now, I have now purchased a licence for the surf protection and installed it. The problem is that it is so slow, i setup a profile for testing added nothing to it except * in the white list so that it would allow anything and it does the problem is that it can take minutes to load a page with it enabled and parts of the page are not loaded at all msn.co.uk being one of them, when i dissable the profile it only a takes few seconds and everything is fine. I have looked throught the http cache log while it is enabled and all requests are miss, when it is dissabled i am getting hits. Question has the surf protection been implemented in the beta version as i never had it in previouse version so din't know how it should behave, If it is behaving correctly which i don't think it is then i have just wasted 49euro's and not happy
Other issues thst i have found when enabeling a surf protection rule is that the Total concurrent connections increase dramaticaly upto 400-500 conections with only 1 user using it and processing sits 99-100%, if i dissable the rule it will take anywhere up to 30 minutes to get back to normal avarage Total concurrent connections is at 6 at the momment. This would probably explain as to why it is so slow loading pages but i could realy do with a soloution to the problem.

Upgrade to a later BETA. I think that this issue was fixed (I do not have problems with it).
Btw beta software is BETA. In case the word itself does not enough I shall explain: it is used for testing and bug finding. That is what you did, you have found a bug. Good for you, now install a later version and see if the bug has been fixed.
Thanks for the advice but at the time of posting 3.380 was the latest version i have since upgraded to the latest BETA version and all seems OK. Thanks for explaining the purpose of a BETA copy, I would never have known, if it was not for people like you explaining all these terms to us.
