Beta won't install on my machine.

Beta 3.318 and 3.380 won't install on my IBM PC300XL, PII-266, 64MB, 2.5GB. It quits at formatting ROOT partition. 3.23 tears right through this section.
I know this is below the recommended hardware for ASL but I've been running 3.2 on it for months and it passes 1.5 Mbit ADSL traffic perfectly.

Hi Jim.

please check the output on the other consoles (ALT-F2, ALT-F3, ALT-F4) - any interesting there?

Same problem here.
Solved it by replacing the hard disk with a larger one.

I'll try the other consoles when I try an install using a spare 6.4GB drive I've got lying around. I'll post results. Thanks for the drive tip.

Update: Used a 6.4 GB HDD and all is well. Didn't need to look at the other consoles.
