works with my beta..

please check if middleware is running and if so, check AUTO_INPUT chain (e.g. WebAdmin->FilterLivelog) for rule looking like: ACCEPT     tcp  --  *      *       0.0.0.0/0            0.0.0.0/0          tcp spts:1:65535 dpt:25

Filter exist: "ACCEPT tcp -- * * 0.0.0.0/0 0.0.0.0/0 tcp spts:1:65535 dpt:25"

and MDW is running (restarted it)  [:(]

hmm, please try connecting w/ telnet (tcp!) to port 25 .. .. maybe there is a NAT rule which affects port 25, too?

Interesting when this was tried though:

asl33:/root # /sbin/init.d/smtp restart
:: Stopping SMTP Proxy
-> failed
:: Starting SMTP Proxy
-> failed
:: Restarting SMTP Proxy
-> failed
asl33:/root #

Bit more investigation... turn off RBL lists on this server and suddenly the SMTP kicked into working - pleased to say KAV AntiVirus is still enabled!

Found that in the RBL if you have not selected the action on what to do with the mail, it kills the SMTP relay altogether.

Bizarre one but hopefully something that should help you Marcel and Martin.

martins port 25 was reachable via localhost, but not from outside (tcptraceroute port 25 did not even reach the firewall) - other problem..
