DHCP on multiple internal networks?

I've put in settings into dhcp.conf-default, but the DHCP request packets are getting rejected by Astaro on the second internal network.

How can I add firewall rules to allow them??

Barry, you will need rules for UDP 68 (client)and 67 (server) to allow the client and server to talk, you also need a rule for broadcast 255.255.255.255 that the client will send to, and a rule for the DHCP server IP after its responded to the client's broadcast.

Yeah. It turned out the stock ASL rules were fine, I just needed to add another Zone to the DHCPd config file.

We have done an automated script that supports this;
since it was previously done for a client of ours for hire, we are clearing it with them to post.

The DHCP configuration script is regulated through network definitions (after a definition is made the script is automatically rerun...)

What happened to this thread? I'd be interested in the hack for this. I'm trying to set up a WAP on a DMZ interface and would like to serve DHCP requests for the wireless clients. Can someone post the hack?

I've been trying to get my ASL box to serve DHCP requests on 2 interfaces for about 3 hours now and have met with failure. I've tried "group", "shared-network", "server-identifier". I cannot get it to work. I can get it to issue a fixed IP address by MAC on the DMZ interface but not anything from the "range". The packet filters I set up via script in the back end work fine. I know someone has figured this out. Please give me a little help here, I'd really appreciate it. 

Jim, on ASL3, the only thing I had to modify was the dhcp server conf files (added a zone for the second network).

Make sure you can get it working on the first network before you try to modify it though.

I don't remember anything about groups... are you using 3.x or 4.x?

I didn't have to change any packet-filter rules or anything else.   

I'm using 4.009. I got it working on 2 interfaces. I created a set of interface specific rules like those in AUTO_INPUT and AUTO_OUTPUT for dhcp on the second interface. Then I start a second dhcpd and specify the eth2 interface in the startup script. With just a hack to the dhcpd.conf-default file I couldn't get it to issue IPs in the range, just reserved IPs by MAC. Now both interfaces issue IPs from their configured ranges and IPs reserved by MAC. Now I need to tar.gz it together so I can reproduce it if I need to rebuild my ASL machine.
