is there a commandline command/script or something to regenerate configuration files from default, so we don't need to edit both -default and real?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it happens on reboot, you may want to try that.

Generally you've got two possibilites:
- Stop/Start the service you edited (e.g. HTTP Proxy) in WebAdmin
- Restart Middleware via console (/etc/rc.d/mdw restart)

it doesnt seem to work for bind.
oh.. and if others use this as reference.. using "/etc/rc.d/mdw restart" also drops your dsl interface in case you are doing something important.
it would be great to have a simpler way of doing this. like some script/program to regenerate it and then just restart/rehash the service you need.
