No IP address on eth0

I have had this before, it is if you are using dhcp on that interface.  If you give it a few moments to gain an IP then you should be fine.

I am not using DHCP on eth0.
It's a static assigned IP.

Right after I start my ASL it shows me my IP, changes it to "No IP for eth0" and after a while the real IP comes back.
Maybe it's just a script running in the background. Did you wait a little longer for the thing to change again ??

i have the same problem.

after the first boot my asl 3.2 shows an ip and than it changes to NO-IP. after reboot there is the correct ip.

i dont know why but with one reboot it works. so whats the problem?

I have had the same problem since version 3.04 beta.    It has continued through 3.05 - 3.052  I have no solutions...

Basically if I restart the firewall manually or restart it will ALWAYS come up with NO IP.    then I restart it and it comes up WITH my IP.   Then it will not come up with the up the next reboot and so forth.   

OH and yes does it in the RC version as well even from fresh install non upgrade

the astaro middleware resets the interfaces and while there is no ip on eth0 it shows up on console... never mind..

I have the same problem with the sometimes missing IP. What makes it realy worse, is that you have no other acces to the machine as using the console. Because of the laccking network no browser-administration nor login via ssh is possible ... It's awful! 
If you check the interfaces with ifconfig, you find all NICs in status UP. So it must be the middleware, but this means, this part has a severe bug (or a very stupid configuration error by default).

Seems to be a problem with the iso ... See my reply on the ASL Hardware/Installation forum

I had this problem to. But for me it was my DSL modem. My Interface was fine it was my actual connection to my DSL modem I switched cables and the problem has not reacured since. I don't know if this is the same problem every one else has but that is what worked for me.
