*-default files

Hi,

just wondered, when are configuration files extracted from the *-default files? At every restart, or when doing changes in the webadmin ?

Also.. is there an easy way to have it reextracted on the fly. Perhaps by some rc/startup script? So that I can apply changes at once whithout having to edit both the running config file andn the -default.
