3.050 - DNS forwarder

Earlier versions of astaro added zones for the local devices (127.0.0.1localhost and internal-ipconfigured hostname) but in the betas this have been broken.

localhost is the only one of these working somewhat.

    Hello,

    I found another malconfiguration in the DNS. Additional to the wrong naming of the IP-zone (defining .zone in named.conf, but generating -zone in zones) the forward.zone to the generated IP-zone is missing. You are only able to do reverse lookups (IP -> hostnames) but not vice versa. 
    And did anybody found the place in the frontend where to configure my private DNS-entries??
    e.g. if I do MASQ/NAT I must define all hidden hosts in the DNS (I do not prefer hacking the /etc/hosts on every machine ...)

    There is nothing on the interface to do that, nor is there a way to edit the /etc/hosts file on the server either.

    If you have too many machines to edit hosts files for then you need an internal DNS server running somewhere on your network.

    One more I think...

    localhost.zone:
    $ORIGIN localhost.
    @                       1D IN SOA       @ fwadmin.shadow.no (

    nslookup:
    responsible mail addr = fwadmin.shadow.no.localhost


    Shouldn't there be a dot at the end in the soa record? This probably go for the other zones as well.
