POP3 Proxy with Anti-virus scanner

I for one would be REALLY interested in having a look at this. Got any links to more information? Is this GPL?

I might be interested as well, depending on performance and licensing.

I don't have a virus scanner license at the moment, but if the final versions workes fine, I might consider getting one.

Same here very interested in it also.  It to would make me buy buy the antivirus feature.

I am interested in this as well.  I have already purchased the AV for home use, but I would REALLY like to have bi-directional scanning!!!

I am beginning to think connect is not going to let us have this =(

From the last time I saw something he seems to have decided to see if Astaro are intersted in it, so hes probably not going to release it until he knows whats happening with that.

saw that you are in discussion with Astaro to integrate this feature to their solution.
But is it still possible to think we can get this module rapidly ?
I could wait for the anouncement of the astaro version with this module,
but i'm little more in hurry to use it (sure this option missed in astaro as smtp antivirus scan on the fly).

I think everybody will agree to say that it is continious requests from customers.
I met difficult situations where the customer was infected by a virus and i had to explain the problems with external pop3 and smtp. The customer not always understand and accept this lack of protection.

As has been done for pppoe, first it could be provided as hacking solution. (and become later a supported module)
Astaro could then add it for example to docs.astaro.org/hacking/.

I currently asked Redman to test it as he was the first to contact me for it.

Hope he will give me a feedback rapidly, to improve or correct bugs he can have meet with this first version of POP3 proxy with AV.

Tis true, I have been testing it. And wow, very good work. It works very well so far, and tonite I am going to be trying a barrage of virus's through it to see how well it does.

Once this version will had been tested correctly,
i will put it somewhere for free download (free licensing). 
So, don't desesperate u will have chance to get it early.

Please, make this available it would be a fantastic addition to the product set..
