Modular Network support in 3.2?

At some point, when I was hacking wireless into my ASL 2.x box, I asked Astaro for a simpler method of getting modules compiled.
Someone replied that the networking in 3.2 would be much easier in that respect.
As 3.2 is approaching, and I haven't been participating much, I wonder what happened to this.

How will you handle support for NICs of all kind in 3.2? Compile modules on request? We have to compile ourselves through pluspack?

I'd love to see a NIC module library however. Hopefully administered by Astaro :-)

I guess it boils down to one very specific question: Will I have to hack pluspack again to get the module for aironet wireless into ASL 3.2?
