ASL 3.050 doesn't come up nicely

Hi,

sometimes when I reboot my ASL 3.050 it doesn't startup nicely. You hear the beeps so it seems everything is ok, except that sometimes the DHCP server is not starting (or at least my client can't get an ip-address from it). And I can't ping my ASL box either. Rebooting ASL again resolves the problem most of the times (sometimes some subsequent reboots of ASL are necessary to bring it up as it should).

I have found that when you hear the beeps, there are still processes coming up. Wait aprox. 30-40 seconds and then try the dhcp, ping tests that you mention.

Hi,

Well, that doesn't help. Even after 10 minutes it's still not up. Doing a couple of reboots again and then everything is fine.

Sounds a bit like you would have a problem with your IP setup. Check your logfiles if it says something about spoofing, this might explain your problem.

I had the same problem ....., and figured out that the memory on my system was not working correct had no problems with version 3.030 do.
try replacing your mem hope this will solf your problem !!
