mknod needed

Hi there,

I tried to implement ASL on a rackmount
machine from eltora ... works so far without
any problems ... but I would like to address
their front lcd-panel, for this reason
I need to install a couple of scripts and
files and also need to create a dev with the
mknod command, that is not available.

Any chance to get it for this distribution or
an easy trick to get it from elsewhere?

Tried the mknod from another linux box but its
telling me something about version number
issues.
