Beta 3.030 / T-DSL / working??

Hi there,

has anybody tried the new beta (3.030) with german T-DSL and got it working?

I tried it yesterday, install was fine, but the interface connected to the "T-DSL Modem" (NNTBA I think?) kept "down". How do I bring it up manually?

I don´t have to use a router between "T-DSL Modem" and ASL, have I? Thougt with version 3 it would be possible to directly connect ASL to the DSL...

Anybody got some help please?

I use it with Telenor adsl in Norway, and it works fine. After restart it seems to take forever to get up, but after a (quite long) while it gets up.

An option to bring interfaces up/down manually would be nice. perhaps a link onthe up/down text to we could click on "down" to get it up, and "up" to bring it down?

I got exactly the same problem (post 'pppoe not starting'), didn't find yet a solution...
I hope anybody recognizes us :-)
Do you also get a 'Timeout waiting for PADO Packets'? (You should find it in the deamon-log)

Hey,
I am not alone ;-)

Ok, perhaps I was too impatient and didn´t wait long enough for pppoe coming up...

I´ll have a closer looks at the logs in a few hours.

But in theory it should work without a router??????

Hi all,

means you haven't a connection to a access concentrator (AC) ....
ASL retrys every 900 seconds to establish a configured connection (check with ps axf) - maybe you kill the 'sleep 900' for a faster reconnect: but attention, some AC's will disable all traffic after too fast and too much retrys...

That could seem reasonable, but at the same time, its a bit long to wait 15minutes before accessing the inet if you need to do a reboot/fix something at a bad time. An manual option, like the one I talked about in an earlier post would be nice.

I also thought of the AC, but it showed 'everything ok... but- surprise, surprise, after (not modifying anything!) turning it on tonight, it worked! ;-)
Really don't know why... tststs...

Hi Alex, Chris2,

it worked because TDSL has a AC-timeout of 900 seconds...
(Hacker hint: You can decrease the reconnect interval (for TDSL so far) by reboot your dsl modem and thereafter kill the 900 seconds sleep ;-)
