pppoe not starting

Hi Chris2,

i installed 3.030 at home with TDSL and it works great..
We don't use a pppoe.conf anywhere...
Please check /var/log/daemon and /var/log/mdwlog for error messages (is a AC accessible?).
Did you use a seperate interface (unconfigured) for PPPoE?

Well, I came to pppoe.conf because of when trying to start the deamon via '/etc/rc.d/pppoe start', it says that pppoe.conf isn't found. I saw that the deamon-log is showing 'Timeout waiting for PADO packets'. From the ethernet card up everything is ok, cable on the right card, dsl-modem shows everything ok (works on other workstations), and I tried to name the if-card either with eth2('real'name) or pppoe0 (my name ;-)
So I really don't know what could be wrong...
System is a PPro 180, 64MB, 2GB SCSI Adaptec 78xx UW, 2*3c905 internal/DMZ, 3c900 for TDSL.

Hello all, here I have other problem.
I found that only several mintues after I restart the ADSL connection by "/sbin/init.d/DSL restart", superdaemon.pl killed my ADSL connection.

I checked the daemon log file, and watch the process list. I found my mdw_daemon missing, and it caused superdamon disconnected my ADSL connection. I try to restart it manully but it's terminated several seconds late and left nothing in /var/log/mdwlog.

So, how to check it out what's the problem?

Yes, It's 2.0x.
So before I restart it, I want to find out why 
mdw-daemon disappeared.

You're not working with 3.030, are you?
Try that, it should work(if not, try booting a few times ;-)
