the online help for QoS got out as german in accident, we'll correct that in the next beta, due in 1-2 weeks.

    No worries, thanks for the reply.  I saw somewhere that the min specs are now a 600MHz.  Is that correct?

Why is it that for the last three times that I've asked about the specs for ASL no one has answered?  Ever since I've upgraded from v1.8x certain internet sessions have been sluggish and takes forever to go through the web admin to change anything.  I need to know if it's the software or if it's the hardware so that I can replace one of the two.

You could just look at Reporting->Hardware in webadmin. If any of the graphs are maxed out, your box is too slow.
FYI I'm running a P2-350 w. 128Mb RAM, and it has never had speed issues.

If my graphs would keep running I would consider that.  For some reason MRTG stops until I reboot, then a few hours later it stops again.  I haven't gotten an answer back for that either.
