change default gateway address

I have tried to change my default gateway address through webadmin and after saving it still has the old address displayed.  my eth0 is on the 192.168.0.0 network.  How can I change the default gateway????, do I need to change round the eth0 and eth1 addressing to change the gateway address.  please help
