Installed 2.0 Beta 4, system working OK as PPTP vpn. Inside IF is 192.168.2.100, outside IF is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. All seems to work OK, but last night I tried to logon remotely, and no luck. Tried pinging box, no luck (ICMP ping response is allowed on box). Had someone reboot the box and it came up OK. Logged onto the web UI, only surfed the UI, made NO changes, and the same condition is present again. Why is it just dropping down on me? What should I check for to find root cause of downed IF, e.g. check logs, etc.?
System specs:
Tyan Motherboard (forget model sorry)
AMD K6-2 500 MHz CPU
192MB RAM
2GB Baracuda SCSI 7200 HD
Adaptec SCSI controller
Inside IF: Netgear FA310 plugged into Netgear 100MB hub
Outside IF: Netgear FA310 plugged into Netgear 10MB. Uplink is an Efficient Networks bridge.
I would try the earlier prod version of ASL, but I would like to use the PPTP VPN and the SCSI disk support.
