Portscans on ASL 1.930

Hello everyone,

As a newby I am testing ASL 1930 and Portscans Report does report anything. Is this normal ???

I also running the MandrakeSecurity and there you have Prelude. This reports a lot of Portscans I made from http://www.sdesign.com/securitytest/index.html even if there are NO ports open.

Is this normal for Portscans to report nothing ??? Under Networks it says "Enable" and Action for portscanner traffic is "Drop". Iven if I say drop it should be reported in the Portscan or not ???

Hi cumasach,

no this behavior is not normal, there was a minor bug in the notification deamon.

This is fixed in the next version.

Hi, I have the same question as Matthijs here... I haven't seen anything in my portscan log ever (versions 1.940-1.952).
When I ran other firewalls with NIDS, it usually reported something now and then.

Surely, if it's correct I'm all happy, but I've come to learn that there are alot of non-friendly activity "out there" :-)
