Netbois & VPN

I am able to successfully setup and authenticate through PPTP (Yess!!! Wohooo!!) from a W2K machine. Question, Is it possible to get netbois name resolution through the VPN tunnel, all the connected clients have the same workgroup but I am unable to see any machines behind ASL from the vpn connection. I am however able to ping all the internal addresses.  I would like to be able to mapdrives,printers, etc. through the vpn connection...Any information or suggestions would be greetly appreciated.   [:S]e\share

    From my own experience with various VPN boxes, netbios does not work over VPN.  As Tom said, setup a wins server, or better yet...the most reliable is to browse using ip addresses.  

    I have my login scripts use an IP address, and I have had much success with it.  Even running a Wins server and using the LMhosts file.
