Default settings feature request

Would be nice to have a 'return everything to default  (like right after a fresh install)' setting selection, so that you can put the system in a well-known state if you get setting hosed up.  (like that never happens for me....)

    This would be a cool feature, but lets have a think about it. If you can get access to the WebAdmin you can change the settings which is where you would most likely want to initiate this command. That is, you need access to WebAdmin to perform this type of operation, and if you can access it, you can fix it by hand anyway.

    If you cannot access WebAdmin, it is most likely that you cannot log in over the network so SSH is no use. All that remains is working at the console. 

    The the request is now to be able to reset everything from the console in an emergency. A work around is to copy everything from /etc/wfe/conf to another directory and copy it back in an emergency.

    If you can get to WebAdmin, save a copy of the config immediately after you reinstall the system and save it.

    saving the settings right after a new install is exactly what i did as a 'work around', but i just felt it would be a bit easier to have a better way to get back to a known state.

    perhaps after i make better friends with the system this will seem alot less necessary...

    how much better of a fallback do you want than a known working configuration you have specified exactly?
