Can't get AMA Working

Hey all,
 Signed up for the beta, setup my account per the PDF instructions, but no joy. I'm using a windows mail server, but NOT exchange. The server I use doesn't use outbound email sending for an archive email, just a simple forward of all messages to a different email address, and doesnt support auth or TLS. So I created another mailbox to hold the emails, and tried using POP3 and IMAP services to poll that mailbox and grab the emails. However, no matter what I do AMA never even hits my server. I tried using hostname and IP address, putting a port in the port box (not sure if its needed) and without a port, and neither POP3 or IMAP get any activity on the server. Pressing the "Test" button never does anything, other than cause AMA to be unresponsive for a bit (I assume trying to test?) but never returns any information, either an error message or success. This is a live email server and connections to SMTP/IMAP/POP3 all work fine from the outside world so I don't know what the issue is here. Any ideas?? Also, while a hosted service seems like a good idea, I am sure there are users that would rather host the archive system on their own hardware/network, like mailarchiva supports. Just a thought. Thanks.
