Language in this forums / Sprache dieses Forums

Well, I haven't started to test this new AMA service yet, but I noticed that this is the first beta forum in which I found a complete language mixup. Perhaps we could agree on using one single language for everybody in here. In some threads there are even language changes from posting to posting - not really nice for our non German speakers.

Also ich habe mir zwar noch nicht diesen neuen Dienst angeschaut, aber das ist das erste Beta-Forum, in dem wirklich totales Sprachchaos herrscht. Vielleicht könnte man sich hier auf eine Sprache einigen? Zum Teil wird ja sogar innerhalb von Threads zwischen Deutsch und Englisch gewechselt - für unsere Nicht-Deutschsprachler ist das nicht wirklich toll.

    OK, I admit that I'm biased because German was my second language...

    Since most (or all?) of the developers speak German, and we're reporting bugs for their benefit, shouldn't German and English both be welcome here?

    If the poster is comfortable reading responses in English, s/he might add an English translation from Google or freetranslation.com.

    I'd rather get more, better reports than have some people not participate or not explain their observations as completely because their English isn't as good as yours or mine.

    Since, as a moderator, I can modify anyone's post...

    If someone posts in German with an English translation and notes that they would appreciate corrections to their translation, I might just do it if I think the translation is confusing (please don't PM me with requests [[;)]]).

    Wenn jemand auf Deutsch mit einer englischen Übersetzung postet, und bemerkt dass sie Korrekturen zu ihrer Übersetzung schätzen würden, dürfte ich es machen, aber meistens nur dann wenn ich denke, dass die Übersetzung verwirrt (bitte PM mich nicht mit Bitten [[;)]]).
