[2.850][QUESTION]Hardware why 2 NICs

Where does it fail? Does the installer finish? What is the error?

Is is possible that this is a warning only? We use a lot of code from the ASG, and this may be a 'leftover'. The message should tell you, that running a firewall with a single interface does not make much sense, but it would be new to me that it is impossible to install such a system.

I checked the f3 hardware list to find I required 2 NICs.

Now this box works with v8.200b so the issue is not likely to be a hardware one.

Install completes without any warnings, then doesn't boot, just sits with the cursor at the top of the screen (console). Keyboard restart goes through the startup process (BIOS) and then nothing.

Sounds like the GRUB bootloader isn't working.

On further investigation I have 2 possible causes.
1/. a dud cd download, redoing
2/. a failed motherboard, the PS2 keyboard doesn't work, not sure what else has failed.
