I'm running ACC on VMware ESXi and don't see any problems here.
Are the NTP servers configured, and are they working?
Or is it the time drifting away slowly? I remember that a i had such a problem on a Linux box (not ACC) a very long time ago. But can not remember what the reason was then.
The time seems to be drifting away. When i wrote this message last night it was about 5mins fast. Tonight as I type this it is 1:46am CST and on the ACC it says it is 2:24am CST. So, it is gaining speed.
The NTP servers are standard out of the box. It is pointing to pool.ntp.org just like my ASG Firewall is. I can ping it from the ACC. But to answer your question "are they working?" I dont know how to troubleshoot and verify to answer your question.
When it drifts away there is a problem between hyper-v and Linux.
VMware had something similar. I thing ACC is still based on SLES 10. You can try the same fix as for VMware, but don't know if it also works with hyper-v.
There the fix was simple. You only have to add this kernel option:
clock=pmtmr
Do you know how to do it?
Or, if you have support from MS, ask them. They should know it...
although this certainly isn't any kind of desired behavior, we currently only (officially) support Vmware based virtual installations. Other environments might work, but we currently cannot render any assistance.
We are planning to incorporate support for other virtual environments, but at this moment I can neither say which and when and for what Astaro products/versions exactly.
