AxG 7.501 GA released - slight change to ACC agent

Hello,

some of you may have noticed that 7.501 has made it from soft-release status to final release, so it is now available via our Up2Date server infrastructure.

We exchanged the ACC agent in this final release to fix an issue with duplicate key entries within the new Aggregated Reporting feature of ACC V2.1. If you still use the soft-released 7.501, you will encounter problems getting the Network Security section updated.

Easiest fix is to reinstall the 7.501 Up2Date by re-setting the version number to 7.500 and fetching the package via our Up2Date servers.

As an alternative you can exchange the ACC agent RPM on your 7.501 devices - please request the RPM via acc-support@astaro.com in this case.

Uh, oh, sorry guys ...

On the command line edit ...

/etc/version

... and set it back to 7.500.

Then wait some time ... the updated 7.501 should be prefetched in the meantime.

i install this softrelease on ~20 Machines....

Does i really need to ssh and vi all machines ?
How about 7.502 ? any chance to got the right rpm ?

Gregor, I think the only reason to do that would be because you want to use the ACC beta version with them.

yep, Bob is right here.

Gregor, if you want to use it in conjunction with ACC V2.1 Beta you can selectively exchange the Agent on some of the devices. The RPM is available here:

ftp://ftp.astaro.de/pub/ACC/v2.1/beta/fixes-7.501/cm-nextgen-agent-7.5-75.i686.rpm

AxG 7.502 will feature this RPM or a newer version in any case - so it would not matter whether you have installed 7.501 (old) or 7.501 (new) or exchanged the Agent manually.
