please turn on anti-spam

I used to admin a vbulletin 3.8x forum.  I ahd to do a ton of work into keeping spammers from one registering and then posting.

Two things:

Admins:

1/. go get an akismet key and activate the in the forums admincp

2.  Look into installing the stopforumspam.com modification at stopforumspam.com.  

between these two I managed to nearly eliminate spammers form the forums.

    FYIs, there's a 'delete all posts from this user' checkbox, makes it a little quicker if there are multiple posts from one spammer.

    Also, I notice some of us are 'Physically removing' the spam and some are marking as deleted... istm that Physically removing is cleaner as mods don't have to see the spam threads in the bb anymore.
    Also, I always do Banned Users and Permanent Ban, not bannedlist users; is that good?
