please turn on anti-spam

I used to admin a vbulletin 3.8x forum.  I ahd to do a ton of work into keeping spammers from one registering and then posting.

Two things:

Admins:

1/. go get an akismet key and activate the in the forums admincp

2.  Look into installing the stopforumspam.com modification at stopforumspam.com.  

between these two I managed to nearly eliminate spammers form the forums.

    Hi, ReD-MaN, I just spent 10 mins going through that list. 100 total registrations from that IP.  87 were already banned.  I banned the other 13, but, as I said in an earlier post, I don't think this guy cares.  He registers a name, posts several spams, then moves on with another registration.  My guess is that these were usernames where one of us deleted the user's posts, but failed to ban the user.

    PS By the way, I always use the following link because I keep up with a lot here, and it lists every thread with a post in the last 24 hours:
