please turn on anti-spam

I used to admin a vbulletin 3.8x forum.  I ahd to do a ton of work into keeping spammers from one registering and then posting.

Two things:

Admins:

1/. go get an akismet key and activate the in the forums admincp

2.  Look into installing the stopforumspam.com modification at stopforumspam.com.  

between these two I managed to nearly eliminate spammers form the forums.

    askimet checks the posts of the folks..SO if they get by the registration their posts are checked by askimet.  askimet powers the wordpress site so it's database is huge.  I would activate that and set it to scan whatever amount of initial posts(don't post that publically) they make and if they spam they get removed..[:)]  It's another layer of automated protection.
