Will we be limited to Device Console for debugging?

Advanced Shell is only available for commercial licenses now.

Home Licenses can't use It anymore.

If the Advanced Shell is required to perform a fix or patch to a XG instance with Home or trial licence what is the suggested workaround or solution other than doing it on the device itself during boot ??

Further, how do home users or trial users change routing precedence or add email ports to the mail system?

Changing route precedence is done in the Device Console: Menu -> 4, that is still available, we are talking about the Advanced Shell: Menu -> 5 -> 3. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "add email ports to the mail system"

You add extra ports to the smtp profile.

It's been 16 days and there's still no official answer or explanation for this.

Can someone from the Sophos team be professional and give a good reason or explanation on why the advanced shell has been blocked for home users?

Alright, Sophos does not want my comments here. Maybe because I am a home user?! Will accept that.

His point still stands though: I don't see any REAL explanation for this. Maybe you guys think admins with homelabs going to buy your products now? Won't happen. If I have to buy anyway, I'll choose something without all the flaws your product still has after all these years.

We already talked internally about selling another brand to our customers and you guys are doing great in pushing us even more in that direction, so thank you I guess. :-)

Same over here. And everything from the release notes is just no real explanation to me and act to me more like marketing words rather than real technical reasons.

If this get's into the final build, I will for sure discontinue Sophos from all my customer environments.

This will make it's way into the final build without a doubt. As always, to get rid of you, Sophos will say something like "make a feature request" for things they cut off.

Well than it's time to show Sophos, what happens if you don't listen to you customers and particularly the people, who brings such products into customer environments
