Guest Network Netgear

Hello all,

I have 4 Netgear WAX214 AccessPoints and would like to use the Guest Network. In the Settings of the Netgear AP‘s I can set guest network DHCP settings.

In the Sophos XG I Set already the guest user settings with a guest group and the guest user registration.

How can I use the Netgear AP‘s with this Settings? Configure in the AP‘s? But how? Or do I have to do it on an other way?

I read something about VLAN but I don’t know nothing about that.

Can someone help?

thanks

  • Hello Malte,

the wireless management functions are only meant to be used together with Sophos Accesspoints. There is no way to integrate other vendors hardware with it.

And, only the newer Sophos APX hardware is supported with XG- and XGS-firewalls. You could use older Sophos-"AP" models with the Sophos central offer and manage them via cloud. Maybe you get some cheap AP55C to use for case.

Mit freundlichem Gruß, best regards from Germany,

  • JP, did that recently change with the older APs to use on XG?  I used to have an AP30 that was working and updated the firmware when I tried out XG, and it worked out fine for the full two hours I could choke down XG. :D
