Suddenly cannot browse any HTTP

Just put in a XG with newest firmware last week.  Suddenly getting a sophos blocked page for any HTTP traffic in IE.  (chrome was working)  Then rebooted the firewall, and chrome is now giving the same message.

Nothing but Allowed Entries in the Web Filter log.   Under malware log, there is a lot of block entries.      When I go into Protect-Web-General Settings, if I change the setting for "Action on Malware Scan Failure", to allow, then browsing works.    If I change malware scanning from Sophos to Avira,  browsing works.

So what would cause malware scanning to fail for everything?
