10G WAN port on XG 450?

Hi all,

We just acquired an XG 450 firewall device. It comes with the default WAN port 2, 1000GBase-T, and a couple of 10G SFP+ ports.  Before getting it we were assured that we could have firewall throughput larger than 1Gb/s. But when doing the initial setup the option to set one of the 10G SFP+ ports to WAN does not exist. Can anyone help please?

    Hi Relu,

    The 10G SFP+ ports do not work as-is out-of-box. They require compatible 10GB SFP+ GBIC transceiver before it is enabled and visible on the GUI. 

    You may contact your partner to purchase a Sophos GBIC.
