Sophos SSL VPN could not change my Live Ip after successfully connected with Remote SSL VPN.

Hi Team,

Recently i have configured SSL VPN at Sophos XG firewall every thing is working fine except once, the problem is that after successfully connected with remote SSL VPN my existing WAN ip address could not be changed. For Example

My Existing Live Ip Address is: 119.155.3.230

Remote SSL VPN Live IP: 110.39.184.184

After connected with Remote SSL VPN my live ip address is still remaining 119.155.3.230 this ip address should be 110.39.184.184 rather then 119.155.32.230.

Any one please guide what is the exact problem.

  • HI

Enable Use as Default Gateway in your SSL VPN Remote access profile. Also create a VPN to WAN firewall rule.

    Regards, Ronak.

  • Hi Ronak,

I hope you are going great, i have just a little problem can you please help me out?

Actually i have successfully configured Sophos SSL VPN  all things are working according to my desire except one. I Can't access my Sophos XG Firewall from remote site through SSL VPN, can you please guide me how can i access my Sophos XG firewall through remote SSL VPN Access.

    Thanks in Advance.

  • Hello

Enable the following setting to get admin access

    • HTTPS for VPN under Administration > Device access
    • Create firewall rule form VPN to LAN
    • If SSL VPN is configured in Split mode, make sure you have added Sophos XG LAN IP in SSL VPN (Remote Access) > Permitted Network Resources
    • Access Sophos XG through your LAN IP

    This should solve your issue.

    Regards, Ronak.

  • Dear Ronak,

Thanks for your time and reply, let me allow one more thing in your recently reply that is you don't need to add an extra rule to accessing your XG firewall. You just need to enable the HTTPS for VPN under Administration > Devices access option that's all.
