Hi folks,
hopefully something of a warning and of interest.
Today one of my MACs updated to the latest High Sierra beta. Both Safari and FF would not complete a connection to google - insecure connection nad validity of data. All other sites worked fine. Spent sometime cleaning up the XG certificates so they are now reasonably correct and removing lots of dead certificates from the MAC, still no joy. Used the iphone hotspot and google connects without an issue. For some reason the ISP connection with IPv6 reset and the google started to work.
Restarted the XG network connection for the dual stack to connect with full speed and functionality and FF and Safari failed to load google again.
I had to wait until my wife finished with the internet before I could delete all of the IPv6 configuration. Even after restarting the MAC, FF and Safari connect to google without any issues.
So two issues.
1/. the XG does not work with IPv6 correctly, this was an issue before the MAC upgrade. Link goes down and XG cannot handle the reconnect, the XG interface needs to be opened and saved.
2/. the new MAC software has a security issue with TLS and IPv6. Probably should fireup the UTM to see if the MAC has the same issue?
