The internet is littered with people who have bad VPN performance with Sophos products and VPN.
I've got a symmetric gigabit connection on both the server and client. Speed tests have me at a minimum of 900 mbps at all times at both sites. I've tried the following configs:
I've tried setting security at the bare minimum:
SSL VPN
UDP
AES-128
SHA-1
1024 key size
tried both with compression on and off
Disabled all web protection, IPS policies. I've also tried L2TP just to rule out issues with SSL VPN.
In both VPN types I average file transfers of 32 mbps. What else am I missing here, why such awful performance?
