Remove old Firewall rules when pushing template

Hello,

I've been testing out the Sophos Firewall Manager for some time now, and I was wondering:
Is it possible when you push a template, that the old firewall rules are removed?

In the SFM I've created several templates for our units. One template when they have a lower bandwidth (and is blocking some streaming stuff for example) and a template if they are in a area where they have more bandwidth.

If the unit is empty, and I push a template, it works great. But if I want to push the other template, the firewall rules from the 1st template are still there.

Is the scenario possible with the SFM?

Thanks,
Bart

  • Hi Bart,

--> No, it is not possible.

When you push the firewall rule from template. It will add firewall rule. It will not delete old firewall rule.

If you want to delete the firewall rule then you have to use the Device Level of SFM.
