Does L2TP/IPsec in UTM9 work outbound?

Documentation seems to describe the VPN setup for the outside road warrior logging into company LAN; I'm INSIDE wanting a tunnel going out.

Specifically, I've been using NordVPN service on my private iMac, and I can open ports in the UTM9 firewall to tunnel out. Unfortunately, if I use the NordVPN tunnel on my iMac, I miss the benefits of the UTM scans of threats because it doesn't see clear text.

I've setup the Global tab of L2TP/IPsec with NordVPN IP server and preshared key. Plus set myself as a user out thru the firewall. Somehow I should be able to "connect" to my local end of the tunnel, but don't see how.

At this point, I'm wondering if I'm looking for something that's not provided at all ... unless I'm on the outside somewhere.

Thanks for help,

Alan
