Security risks when using SSO authentication through the installation of STAS

Hello everyone.

I require your help with a concern that a client poses to me for which this is something reasio to mount the STAS on your domain controller to do SSO.

The client asks us for a different method to do SSO, says that for them mount some application that must see the audit log of your server represents a high security risk.

My question is;

- can STAS really represent a security risk?

- If not, how could you argue?

- and finally, authentication by NTLM would be a viable option bearing in mind that the client has a network of more than 1000 users?
