Sophos XG and AP55 Access Point License Question

Good morning all,

Quick question. Running a Sophos XG Firewall with built-in WiFi. Looking to add another Sophos WiFI Access Point. Do I need to license it or will it just work? If it is license based.. what does that actually buy me? I just need to extend a couple of SSID's to the other side of the building.

    Hi,

    the secret being to use 'bridge to lan' when creating the wifi network. Be patient when setting up the configuration, the devices can take a couple of minutes to register. Also some device show low throughput eg apple devices will sit at arounf 6-24mb/s when idle but go to full throughput under load while windows devices sit at a high connection speed all the time.
