Application Control and Micro App Discovery

hello everyone

hope everyone is doing great

lets say for example i want to allow WhatsApp only on my network and i need to do it through Application Control

so i created my application filter rule with template "Deny All"

and added whatsapp and allowed it in the rule

 

the problem is if the rule is set to block specific applications it work great

but if i used this future as deny all for default action and allowed some applications through it

it wont work at all and i have to enable Micro App Discovery to get it work

and if i enabled it then i have to push CA Certificate to all clients

so i was hoping if anyone faced this problem and got it work without enabling Micro Discovery

    iam testing this rule in isolated environment with one firewall rule to allow internet to the lan network and applying the application control to this rule

    to test if it`s working or not to apply it on my work environment

    and yes you are right iam still on previous version, i will upgrade to v17 and let you know what happened
