Licensing reports it was unable to sync for 60 days

The firewall reports that it was unable to sync with the licensing server and will be deactivated in 20 days!  I can think of no reason why it cannot contact the server.  I've been using the firewall and internet service has been stable for 6 months.  My appliance is registered and I tried a manual sync which failed also.
