XG Firewall Home: NIC is not supported

Hello

I have Shuttle Barebone DH170 and want to install Sophos XG Firewall Home for testing purpose. The Shuttle has two NICs:

- 1x Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM

and

- 1x Intel I211 Gigabit Network Connection

The later will recognized by delivered Intel driver (igb, driver version 5.0.5k). The first will not recognized by the delivered Intel driver (e1000e, driver version 2.3.2-k, Date 11/3/13). The problem seems to be that this driver version does not support this NIC (I219-LM) because it was released in 2015. So is there any way to update or change the driver?

    Hi Martin,

    I had the same problem with my Shuttle DS68U and solved the problem with installing Proxmox and running the XG as a KVM with virtio drivers.

    It really works like a charm and should be worth a try. :)
