Wireless Interface problem to connect to mobile devices

XG 105w, SFOS 16.05.8 MR-8

Hi,

Since two days I have a severe problem with the WLAN connection of the XG 105w. In Network -> Interfaces the WLAN Interface shows the status "unplugged". It is the internal WLAN AP/Network Interface of the XG so there is no technical possibility to unplug it. In Wireless -> Wireless Networks it is shown as "switched on" so it should work. I even tried connecting to another WLAN-Network interface that is shown "connected" in Network -> Interfaces but the mobile device can not retrieve the IP address and a connection to WLAN does not occur.

I changed two things before the trouble started:

  1. I downloaded the SFOS v17 without problems. But then the mobile devices could not retrieve their static IP address (DHCP server of the XG) any more. I thought it might be a bug in the new SFOS release so I switched back to SFOS 16.05.8 MR-8 because with that SFOS v16 before all did work fine for weeks.
  2. I tried to use the "fast transition mode" for quick WLAN roaming because I have a new AP15C Access Point included in the network. It did work well for some hours but as I said above suddenly the mobile devices could not retrieve the IP address any more. So I switched the fast transition mode off and even rebooted the XG completely. The problem is still there.

Thank you

Wolf
