After Initial Setup the XG kills my network

Hi guys,

 

I have a problem with my first steps with sophos. I installed a XG twice, one on a VMWare ESXi and one on Hyper-V. I am facing the same problem when I complete the initial setup guide. The XG floods my network like an Broadcast storm and my network breaks down completely. I have no access to anything on the network until I shut the machine down, so it is definately a problem with the XG. As this product is out for several years I strongly the failure is me, but I do not know what the problem is.

 

Has anyone else had this issue or an idea what I am doing wrong?

    I would suggest you to leave all cables unplugged/Ports deactivated until the initial setup and a basic configuration of the network interfaces is completed.

    Sure, you will need one cable plugged in to be able to reach webadmin, but not more.

    Furthermore please ensure that no Network bridge is configured on SFOS.
