How many times a day an IPSec Connection could be down and still it would be normal ?

I know it depends on ISP and many other factors, but I'd like to hear how many times this happens to other users.  I'm receiving per day, on average, 20 alerts "IPSec Connection Down". One to five "Ups". One or two "Gateway Port2_GW Went Down" or "Gateway Port-GW Came Up".  In other words, IPSec connection goes down far more often than the Port2_GW would.  Why ?

  • If your tunnel involves Azure this could be explained by the way Azure is doing rekeying.

They basically shutdown tunnels followed by a reinitialization.

Could you please provide further details about your connection and its profile/policy?

If the other side is not Azure, is it also an SFOS System?
